MEET LORI HATCHER

My lovely wife Lori and her ride-or-die Tibsy D.
Local Artist Lori Hatcher was born in 1967 on Fort Rucker, Alabama. Her father was a helicopter and fixed wing pilot, instructor, and never knew a day of easy work. Lori's mother was not a soft woman. She was a wife and a mother and did her best to try to balnce the two responsibilities. If I had to sum her childhood up in one sentence, it would be this. Lori learned a lot of lessons early in her life, some of them the hard way. Experience is the best teacher, right? Well, those lessons have made her as strong as anyone I have ever known.

Lori became interested in art at a very early age. Her love of horses, dogs, birds, and nature shaped her future in the art world. One of her early paintings of her daughter fishing on a creek bank still hangs on her bedroom wall. I think it's safe to say that she will never part with it!

Lori's dedication and commitment to excellence shows in everything she does, not just art. That same quality, however, is amplified ten-fold with a paint brush. I have been a very busy man most of my life, but every time I see her painting, I have to stop what I am doing and look on in awe. I have tried painting, drawing, and pretty much anything art-related, but it is so hard for me. She makes it look so easy. She just picks up a brush, and what comes out is a reflection of her soul, to be sure. I am contstantly amazed by the things I see on her easel.

Lori has just recently decided to open an online store where she can sell her art. Over the years, she has received emails, texts, and phone calls from people she does not know asking for one of her paintings or wanting to commision her to paint something special for them. Of late, it has become quite overwhelminig, and she is truly humbled by it! As her husband, I felt it only right that I create this website for her to give her a way to more efficiently handle all the requests and to handle shipping so she can just paint. She loves painting, and I love helping her!

So please, have a look through the gallery below and find something that speaks to you. I am constantly adding new pieces, so look often. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do and, as always, "Thanks for looking!""
